Welcome to the CSO Executive Summit, The Twin Cities premier gathering of Chief Security Officers, Chief Information Security Officers, and Risk Leadership forum for businesses in the Twin Cities area. With a membership upwards of 100 key players, the summit has gone from an idea formed by the Founding Co-Chairs and their connections to a massive group of thought leadership and skills. These officers have bonded together and meet quarterly to discuss topics that are what they deem the most important for them at the moment. At each summit, votes are cast for topics for the next summit discussion, panels are formed and steps are taken to make this event a successful quarterly forum.

We just recently finished our first very successful event at Secure360, the premier Twin Cities Risk Conference, as a partnership with the UMSA board that puts on that event. Over 40 CSO’s were in attendance (including some new ones) to listen to guest presenters, and talk about the most prevalent topic on their minds (Gen Y and the role of security in Social Media).

Our next summit will be held on September 16, at Best Buy’s Corporate Headquarters in Richfield, MN. More details are forthcoming, but topics include Measuring Risk Tolerance/Appetite, How to Leverage the CSO Executive Summit brain trust, as well as a keynote presentation by Robert Stephens, Founder and Chief Inspector of the Geek Squad!
